Biggest Problem with a Job – The Job itself

The biggest problem in job is the ‘job’ itself. Your job influence your way of life in a number of ways. If there is a conflict between you and your job then there is not just a problem, it’s a whole rabble coming your way. A conflict arises between a person and job when we fail to create an acceptance. It is not just a few tasks; it is actually our work-space, timings, colleagues, limitations and challenges which comes with it. Sometime we choose job and other time’s it chooses us. Doesn’t matter how you landed in the job important things is that one learns to embrace it, because you are here now. If you think it’s not your calling don’t opt for it in the first place, because doing work which you don’t want to do is very dangerous for your morale and attitude. Half-hearted work does more harm to us than it does to the job. So why not just do nothing? Than hurt us and potentially other’s around.
Dammit This Job Suck

When a person doesn’t embrace his/her job; there could be multiple reasons for that. From personal choices to cultural limitations. There could be humongous reasons to dislike something. The thing to understand is that once we are in a job, we are actually a part of a system. It cannot operate without the output of the people who are working in it. Doing half-heartedly doesn’t make it any easier, on the other hand it consumes us even more with guilt, fear and dis-satisfaction. This dis-synchronization between job and the person creates a rift in everything associated to life and job. One cannot be happy and satisfied when he/she is in a state of constant confusion and turmoil. Occasional hiccups and challenges might breaks one morale and tempo, but un-satisfied soul can be much more problematic if it continues for a longer periods of time. So the question is peeps do you really want such a miserable life and self-loathing attitude?

One shouldn’t ignore such circumstances, rather face them and try to solve the problem at first hand. If it is let to simmer unattended, it will eventually get out of control. Nobody want his/her career to be jeopardized or spoiled. Would you really give a reason for a ruined career, that you didn’t liked it? It is always good to take a step back and see the bigger picture, get to the root of the problem and see how the situation can be remedied. If one keep in mind the following points, lot erroneous decisions and awkward situations can be avoided in the later stages of job.

  • Always think thoroughly before applying or opting for job
  • Consult a person who knows you best and ask for their advice
  • If you decide to take on job accept it both in mind and soul
  • Take some time and understand the possibilities and limitation of your job
  • Do not want what is not your job, don’t do what could affect your job negatively
  • Be happy about what you do and share your learnings with others
  • If some issues arise in job or workplace try to wrap up the situation in a calm and quite manner
  • Try not to keep grudges, learn to let things go
  • Learn the professional ethics and adopt them with your job, it will make your job a lot easier for you
  • Love what you do, or don’t do it

Job is not the end of the world, it’s just we all are here to play our part, just keep that in mind. Job is part of life, one got to do something, just be happy with what you and you will feel light as a feather in your work. Just be mindful of yourself and the work you do, you will glide through and be at PEACE.

Anger is a Symptom – Find Illness

When one is angry negativity surround’s him. He is hurdled into a dark tunnel of self-obsession, what one can see is himself, and the reasons he should be angry. While at the same time other side of the picture is filled with reasons why he shouldn’t be angry. When we evaluate both sides eventually the latter wins. It is popular opinion that anger fog’s ones judgement, it also takes one capacity to think positively. Anger uses your mental energy and physical strength, it drains you of both resources, and leave your heart exhausted and tired. Anger can bring the most deeply buried thoughts and moments to the front of your mind. Anger is a phenomenon in which you are not in the pilot seat but the anger itself. It make us do things for which we are sorry afterwards. When we see back, we can’t connect the dots why we were being angry. It is a ferocious way of expression, anything leading to it is factually judgmental and perceptual.

Why we get angry? Answer is as simple as why we get hungry? Violence is embedded into fabric of human nature. It is always there ready to hit the surface, and it does when we snap. Anger is the expression of a desperate man. One resolves to violence when he feel cornered, out of options and losses hope then the violent expression and negative thought pattern makes sense. What makes a person angry vary from person to person but it always carry a history. Everyone has a weak point which can make them angry. When it is pressed upon the suffocation, hatred, pain, and irrationality kicks in. Everyone has it layered into them, it’s all under control till we snap. Some snap faster than other they are angrier and some rarely they are calmer. It is inevitable and will happen eventually, what’s important is how we control it. Some keep it in the head and let it brew and this is most dangerous of all, because it results in something worse afterwards rather than resolve.

Anger has a few upsides, it reminds you where your weakness lies and gives a unique opportunity to work on resolving it, teaches to harness patience and calm, shows you the mirror of what you can become if you do not reign yourself. Anger is a child of ignorance and carelessness never do that to yourself or others.

Anger is not an illness it a symptom. When it appears one should see inside themselves and figure out the real problem .Whenever you feel angry do the following things and you might see the rational side.

  1. Sit down and close your eyes, and think of the happening until you see the real thing.
  2. Drink some fluid.
  3. Pace around and breathe deeply.
  4. Don’t speak until you are sure words you will speak will be of calmer tone.
  5. Avoid getting physical contact.
  6. Give yourself space and if it’s a fight back-down and you won’t regret it.
  7. Don’t make anything an ego problem
  8. Last but not the least think of yourself as a sport and others spectators, Don’t be their entertainment.

Elements of Productivity

Productivity is a comparative term, for some it might be 4 hours of straight work and for others it could be 15 min sit down. It varies from profession to profession. But one thing about it is remains the same, output. If your output in work is good means you are being productive. It’s as simple as that. Being productive is a skill and an art, it is not something which will come naturally to you. Your personality, work ethics and environment all contribute to it. Roughly a person would judge his/her productivity by seeing work output they have given by investing how much time. Some of us might be investing lot of time and energy in some work but their productivity be very low and some might be having fun all the time and still doing very good.

Productivity is tricky, to achieve it one have to manage time, resources, skill and surroundings. We will look at all of these things categorically.

TIME: It is the most crucial of all. Time management is crucial because giving excess time to one task means you have less time to give to other tasks. Best thing to do is to time your tasks and set reminders. This way you can know which task has what time limit and the priorities won’t get confused. Having a know-how of the time frame available to you is the key to managing your work priorities.

RESOURCES: While working one need certain resources to execute the task at hand efficiently. It is always a good practice to make sure the resources that you might need are readily available. Otherwise trying to get your hands on something at last moment would result in distraction and wastage of time. This situation is much comparable to the frenzy we go in when at time of desperate need something goes missing from the drawer.

SKILLS: Skills are the tools we need to carry out the tasks. When someone not good with words is given a task to write he/she might not be able to carry out the given task at an optimal pace hence risking productivity. When you have a task, first figure out the skills required for it. In a team, work should be optimally divided based on the individual skills, this will add up to the overall productivity. If you are faced with a task which require skills that you do not have, then it is always a good practice to get know how first, it will help you smoothly carry out the task.

SURROUNDINGS: Last but not the least, your workplace matters more in our productivity then we think. A comfortable and neat surrounding will not only be comforting ,but less distracting. Keeping things in order in your workplace or work desk will keep you safe from annoying moments of not finding something you desperately needed or spilling your coffee over the paper work.

Productivity is a not a one day thing, one has to craft and change the working habits to best of his abilities. It’s a continuous process and one cannot be productive enough there is always room for improvement. Keep things simple and your brain free of cluttering thoughts and see the magic work.

Existence

I write for the love of words and the obsession of mad thinking. Such a rush has yet again hit my already tumbled mind. At times its hard to stare at the world with open eyes, a series of questions knock the sanity again and again … .

All this ? to What end ? Where it lead to ?

Well other than eating, sleeping and working there is a lot to this life, which we fail to keep in our reference when we set our aims. We have a start and it will eventually end, and between these two points is a game , which is a multiplayer sandbox. In that is our little world of people, dreams, wealth, emotions, treasures, and perceptions. This world of ours is a very thin in nature. It starts to fade as it passes , chunks of it stay lit in our memories. Its so thin that years can be compressed to minutes , Seconds or just a faded image. What we are alive for is to live, live the time granted to us. In this time we follow our beliefs , traditions, culture  and norms and that is what make our lives colorful. All this sum up to our existence on this earth.

Through the Night

A silent starry night, the hum of the engines, the sound of the tires kissing the tarmac, music going in the background, a noisy head and bag of gadgets. Sifting through the apps , worlds, words, chaos… and the pleasure of being so much places while not being anywhere. A fantasy world , a bunch of mental luxuries and the loans of pleasure, to satisfy the ever gaping voids. Seeing all those lights and towers, all the busy souls and the whizzing by cars, to what end ? a question popping up in mind again and again and then again. Going unanswered like a great historical mystery, Can’t they see or am i naive enough ? Day in and day out , after thousand of Kilometers and hundreds of hours the mind ask the same question while being in the same place… Something so primitive and yet so unbelievable such a place this is ….

Urgency

You are running, Huffing and puffing to be somewhere, you are late and urgency is in the air. This is very known scenario for all from very childhood. These moments of rush and the last minute tasks are habit and routine for most of us. Well it has been repeatedly seen that last moments action though gets the work done but lacks the perfection when observed in detail. It leaves you no margin for improvement either. Urgency stand justified in times when things happen due to natural circumstances, but their are things which we plan ahead and they need to be executed according to a certain time plan. Urgency though give us a heightened sense of our surroundings but it could also blind us from many incoming risks. Its just like crossing road with caution or just running through. The possibility of you getting on the other side safely largely depend on the cars and your ability to stay safe. Same happens when we do stuff in a hurry.
So my advice is stay safe. Chalk out things in advance and don’t sweat it all the time. Take it slow and steady rather then huff puff.

Unending days

Sometimes i just sit on my table working, sending emails, making drafts, responding to queries, drafting write up’s and a times come when the days start to be continuous you first loose track of minutes then hours and then eventually days. When you finally have time to ponder what youa re doing with your life 4 months passed in Swoooosh. What really happened was work ? or the time flew ? or somebody took your memory ? All these questions are a realization which almost everyone face and find answer to in their lifetime.

Time is a precious little gift. We have the freedom to spend it but we cant refill it. What is spent is spent. So spend with balance. Give yourself some moments from time to time. Worrying eats your time, so worry less and face things with a positive attitude. Make the ticking clock count every moment. You deserve it 🙂

Silent Words

Its a pretty philosophical debate, at least seems to me if was reading this phrase *silent communication* for the first time. Maybe I would have thought that someone is handicapped or there is an issue of some sort that the other person cannot speak or something.
Silent communication in psychology or human behavior is to understand the others without being verbal with them. This phenomenon is very much natural and there is no need to learn , its kind of built in. How we use it depends on how frequent we use it and how deep we are on this side of our personality. A lot of times we just know that something is wrong with the other person, there is no verbal talk or physical signs but something tell us that there is a problem. Like a mother can feel the restlessness on her children faces even if they are not saying anything. Its a sublime connection, like wireless communication among humans in which we can share stuff which can’t be said. There is a phrase often used by people that eyes speak more than words can possibly do.
When a person is depressed or tensed, people don’t want to talk much, they just wish that the other person could just know what they are going through. Giving them an understanding at such point is something which can’t be expressed in words.

Taming Will

Will is your inner strength, a measure of how much you can stand by something. Our decision and actions are based on our will. Why we need Will ? What it has to do with our decisions ? These are small ,seemingly irrelevant questions which goes through our thinking process when we think about it.
Let’s straighten things up, if we want to do something its Will which we put into that. If we are not willing to do something it means the Will is absent. If we do something according too our desires its Will. Others see that decision as our will and eventually as our choices. If you want to buy a red pant its your will, when you buy ,its your decision. So it goes a long way into our everyday decision making. By then there are tasks which we don’t want to do but have to do. Those are registered as burdens in our mind. Now another question arises that why is Will not into everything ? We phrase this as half hearted tasks. Our Will is not in them, nor is our heart and mind. These things create a drag on us.
Will is directly related to heart and mind, Inside our thought process over the time we create do’s and don’ts and whenever we have to do the don’ts  the Will goes missing.The reason to elaborate this boring stuff is to find what damage can it do in our lives. It is a characteristic and it can have a downside too right.
Actually when you do stuff in which you haven’t put Will it becomes a burden on your senses and literally blocks of productivity and positive attitude. This burden could result in physical fatigue, lack of happiness , agitation, absent mindedness, mood swings, or frustration. These things are very common but they uproot from very insignificant events and happenings which could easily be avoided.
We can’t be happy about all things we have to do but yes we can eliminate some stuff which really don’t matter, like when your mother ask you to make your bed, have to do dishes, clean the car, eat food with mouth closed (fingers crossed) , drive ethically and loads of simple stuff. Either way we have to do all this but if we just think that it could be done with a smile and a happy attitude. It won’t hurt us right ? But a negative attitude will eat up on our senses. Make us dull sluggish , make us feel that we are wasting time. If we do task halfheartedly it will will consume double the time and efforts compared to if you are doing it happily.
So let’s decode today that we be maximizing our will and direst its magic into the stuff we do everyday. You will feel the difference instantly.
